Recognize and Thank a Speaker

Dear Mr Spencer

I must first congratulate you and then appreciate you for delivering a lecture on human welfare which was very well received by all our staff besides the invitees whose august presence we requested to grace the occasion.

I must admit that you are a great orator in putting forth the salient points on the topic which are very much necessary for active consideration when taking up the real work on uplifting the under-privileged especially when the work that is currently going on is not satisfactory.

We recognize you as an authoritarian in the field you spoke and we all must approach you to take further guidance for uplifting the general welfare measures of people lacking even the basic minimum facilities.

Your speech should inspire more people to get into voluntary services and I will be the first person to join if anyone initiates to start the program.

Thank you once again for your time and for delivering the inspirational speech.

Very truly yours

Request business donation for school project

Dear Mr George,

As many of you may already know, I am involved in fundraising for John Charitable Trust which runs a high school for the destitute, poor and hapless children who are not fortunate in this world to receive even the basic education. We have been fortunate enough to have been supported greatly by philanthropists like your good self due to whom we were successfully running the school and providing basic education to one and all.

This year, we want to make something special and we will have our first annual day function with cultural activities. We feel it will be a great opportunity for everyone to watch and enjoy the developments the children of school has been making and our aim is to encourage and promote. Hence, I am contacting you on behalf of John
Charitable Trust and the fund raising team to request your support in the form of a tax-exempt donation.

For those of you, who are not familiar with our organization, please visit our website. Ours is a charitable trust duly recognized by the Income Tax Act to provide basic education to the poor children and we started with primary school and now we are in the secondary school cadre to provide school education up to the high school level.

I am asking you to help us out this year by giving a tax-exempt donation to us. We work very hard to provide education and each year, many of our students have been scoring good marks in all the subjects and I hope we can count on you for a generous donation of GBP100 or more. However, please note that any donation amount is always welcome.

I thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to whatever support you can provide. If you are able to donate privately, please also check for matching funds through your employer. Many companies have matching programs which you may not be aware of.

Thank you for your consideration. John Charitable Trust could not have done it without the generosity of donors like you.

Very truly yours

Transmit Annual Report to a Business

Mr. K Lambton
Chief Financial Officer
Static Solutions Inc.
40, Downing St.
North London, NL 07045

Dear Mr. Lambton:

Further to your telephone inquiry yesterday, enclosed is a copy of Derrick’s Annual Report for the 2009-2010 fiscal.

As I mentioned, the financial results in terms of earnings per share need to be qualified as per the notes included on pages 18 and 19 as per which, we had a number of extraordinary transactions last year resulting in the understated earnings picture compared with our expectation for the current year. In fact, it is our firm expectation that this year’s earnings per share’s figure will be twice that of last year.

With respect to the numerous questions you had regarding our printing operations, would you please have a look at the summary of operations on pages 21 to 23. There is plenty of details which are likely to answer most of your questions. If, however, you still have questions after reviewing that information, please feel free to give me a call at 251-236-9868. If I am unable to answer your questions, I will put you in touch with those who will be able to do so.

Thanks very much for your interest in Derrick Corporation. If I do not hear from you in the meantime, I look forward to getting your feedback at the November CFO Society meeting.

Yours sincerely,
H Reddfield
Chief Finance Manager
