Subject: Agreement letter concerning construction of common wall
Dear Mr. Willer,
With reference to the conversation we had over the telephone last night, I would like to suggest a few more things about the construction of the common wall between our houses located at 233 Riverview lane and 234 Riverview Lane, Los Angeles. Please consider this letter as an informal agreement letter and should you accept the terms I mention here, we can take it further and get a formal agreement document made. Before we start with the construction, we first would need to fix a budget for the work. I suggest we spend $8,000-$10,000 depending on what the contractor demands. Since this wall is something we both require, I suggest we split the construction, consultation and labor cost in a 50:50 ratio.
We will also need to consult and architect who can explain to us the technicalities involved in the construction so that no amount of land is wasted and we finish it within two weeks. If you are happy with these terms, do reply to me as soon as possible so that we can start with the project.
