I write to you to inquire about a feature article that was published in your paper last week about the deteriorating education system in our country. I am a teacher in a public school and I would like to find answers to the following questions:
- Are the figures you presented about the number of students continuing their studies accurate?
- Did you get sufficient information that would indicate that the quality of education in the country is declining?
- Have you interviewed school teachers and principals to correlate the figures and observations you have made?
The parents of several of my students have read the article and they are reacting negatively to the analysis pointed out in the article. I would like to clarify the issues presented above to help clear the matter.
